In 1994, Dadsons Machining was founded by two friends who shared a passion for machining, engineering, and solving problems through precision. It began as a way to better serve the customers of Tempco Manufacturing, which specialized in steel stampings but often had to outsource machining work. With the creation of Dadsons, Tempco could now offer a more complete solution — bringing machining expertise in-house and delivering greater value to their customers.
Dadsons started in a small Minneapolis shop with just a few machines and a lot of determination. Over time, their commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service fueled steady growth. In 2003, the company expanded into a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Hammond, Wisconsin. There, they continued to invest in new technology, skilled employees, and long-term partnerships with both customers and suppliers.

Over the years, Dadsons Machining became more than just a machine shop — it became part of the community. Giving back was always important to the team. Pictured to the right is the St. Croix Central High School shop class, who Dadsons proudly sponsored for the annual bus races at Cedar Lake Speedway.
As time went on, the founders of Dadsons began to look toward retirement. After decades of hard work and growth, it was decided to sell the company. In July 2022, Dadsons Machining joined a larger organization, with Gary continuing to serve as General Manager to help guide the transition.
Unfortunately, in April 2024, the new owners made the difficult decision to close the doors to Dadsons Machining. While it marked the end of one chapter, the legacy of Dadsons — its people, values, and dedication to quality — continues to inspire what comes next.

When word spread that Dadsons Machining would be closing, many longtime customers and employees turned to Gary with one question — what’s next? The relationships, the talent, and the craftsmanship built over decades couldn’t simply fade away. Out of that shared determination to keep the spirit of Dadsons alive, HadKins Manufacturing Solutions, LLC was born.
On August 1st, 2024, HadKins officially opened its doors in a 3,750 sq. ft. leased facility in Hudson, Wisconsin. Starting from the ground up meant purchasing everything — machines, computers, even the office furniture. But with grit, teamwork, and community support, the shop came to life quickly.
In just the first five months, HadKins created seven jobs, filled the facility to the brim with state-of-the-art equipment, and surpassed $200,000 in sales. More than that, it reignited a sense of pride and purpose — proving that when people believe in what they do and the community that surrounds them, great things can grow from new beginnings. Today, HadKins continues to build on the legacy that started three decades ago — combining precision machining with innovation, integrity, and a commitment to local manufacturing. Our vision is to grow sustainably, create more quality jobs, and keep supporting the customers and community that helped make all of this possible. The tools may have changed, but our mission remains the same: build with pride, serve with integrity, and keep moving forward.
